U.S. Bank wins three awards from Brandon Hall Group

August 23, 2023

Company recognized for helping team members grow in their careers

Last week, the 2023 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards™ recognized U.S. Bank with three awards for helping team members grow in their careers.

U.S. Bank received a gold medal award in the Best Launch of a Corporate Learning University category for the Tech Academy, in collaboration with their professional services vendor, Accenture. The academy provides learning solutions and experiences around both current and future technology skills, helping promote a culture of continuous learning in which team members can thrive.

“We were successful because we had true alignment between all the right partners — HR, Global Learning and Development, Technology, Communications and our vendor," Learning Director Tim Kriegel said. "We worked together to create something unique. It’s been a remarkable collaboration. And we’re just getting started. There are many more great things to come for the Tech Academy.”

U.S. Bank won three Brandon Hall HCM Excellence Awards.

Through a collaboration with the virtual reality experts from Strivr Labs, U.S. Bank won a silver award in the Best Unique or Innovative Learning and Development program category for enhancing team members’ client service skills, utilizing VR training and learning to manage challenging client interactions.

Also, working with Strivr Labs helped U.S. Bank garner a bronze award in the Best Advance in Learning Measurement category for measuring learning effectiveness in using virtual reality-based training and utilizing deep data analytics to evaluate success.

“Collaborating with Strivr Labs has allowed us to provide learners with a safe environment to practice critical skills,“ said Learning Director Matt Burke. “Being fully immersed into real life scenarios gives team members the confidence they need to serve their clients. Strivr Labs’ expertise in measurement allowed us to objectively evaluate ideal and non-ideal team member behaviors against what learners demonstrated while practicing. With this data, we’re able to pinpoint exactly where the largest skill gaps are and provide additional development support. I can’t wait to see what comes next in our VR training.”

Excellence Award winners will be honored at Brandon Hall Group's HCM Excellence Conference, Feb. 13-15, 2024.
