Melody Jones rented her home for 15 years. She was able to purchase it in 2023 with the help of Acts Housing and the U.S. Bank Access Home Loan.

Jones was the first borrower to use the U.S. Bank Access Home Loan mortgage. This special purpose credit program offers up to $17,500 in combined down payment and lender credit assistance to eligible homebuyers, and was launched in 11 pilot markets in summer 2023. The program has a focus on removing barriers to homeownership in underserved communities where the minority population is more than 50%.
