  2. Review the disclaimers and select Continue.
  3. Log in with your username and password and proceed through the application and funding process. 
• Self-directed investing
  1. If you've chosen self-directed investing, select Open a self-directed account on the next page.
  2. Log in with your username and password and proceed through the application and funding process.

To apply online, you must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident of the United States.

You will need the following information to apply online:

• SSN or ITIN.
• Employment information.
• Valid identification, such as driver’s license or passport.
• Financial information, such as household and net worth.

1. From the U.S. Bank home page, select Personal at the top.
2. Choose Investing and retirement, then select Online investing.
