Knowing when your check is going to clear can be tricky, we want to give you some insight on what to expect.

Generally, we finish processing the current business day's transactions, and updating account balances, by 8 a.m. CT on the next business day. For example, if you're following up on a check that may have cleared on Tuesday, the information should be available after 8 a.m. CT on Wednesday.

The information above applies to the check cashing process, starting when the check is presented to your checking account. U.S. Bank doesn't have control over how quickly the check is presented from the financial institution that cashes it.
