Volunteer firefighter Adam Chinnock moonlights as a banker

September 12, 2018

U.S. Bank Fraud Risk Analyst Adam Chinnock has volunteered more than 230 hours as a firefighter this year.

Adam Chinnock wanted to be a firefighter for as long as he could remember.

“My father was a volunteer firefighter since before I was born,” said Chinnock. “When I was young, I would pretend to be firefighter and dream about the day I could try it.”

He realized that dream in 2003 when he began volunteering as a firefighter in his coastal Oregon community. Now, just this year alone, the U.S. Bank fraud risk analyst in Salem has spent more than 230 hours volunteering.

“The bank has been extremely supportive of my volunteer activities,” said Adam. “I’ve assisted fighting large wildland fires several times thanks to the support of my manager and fantastic coworkers who stepped in to cover for me with little notice. I’m so thankful for the support.”
