U.S. Bank Innovation team explores the future at CES 2024

January 16, 2024

Team shares technology trends, highlights from the world’s largest consumer technology show

Continuous innovation is one of the ways that U.S. Bank works to drive growth and provide amazing client experiences. That is why members of the Innovation team kicked off the new year by attending CES 2024 in Las Vegas.

Previously known as the Consumer Electronic Show, CES is the largest consumer technology event where companies from around the globe unveil their newest innovations and tech breakthroughs.

Three of the main topics this year were AI, sustainability and inclusivity. These themes were found across the more than 4,300 exhibitors, which featured new tech designed to create a better tomorrow.

The team saw campers with built-in solar batteries, real-time translator earbuds and modular vehicles – just a few of newest (and weirdest) innovations showcased this year. Will they be commercialized in the future? Only time will tell. But one thing is certain: the bank’s Innovation cohort gathered insights and ideas for how they can improve client experiences and integrate with other new tech innovations.

Led by chief innovation officer Don Relyea and head of applied foresights Todder Moning, the team explored advancements that could impact the future of banking, e-commerce and how we all use money.

Watch the video above to see the top trends our team uncovered at the wild world of CES.
