Please complete the supplier registration process through our supplier portal, which will prompt you to provide your company overview, experience and diverse or small business status. While registration doesn’t ensure a preferred supplier status, we will contact you if there’s an opportunity that fits your company’s description.
We follow the industry standard definition that a diverse supplier must be at least 51% owned, controlled and managed by an individual or group that includes minority group members, women, veterans, people with disabilities or the LGBTQ+ community.
U.S. Bank recognizes a small business as a business that is privately owned and operated, organized for profit and located in the U.S. or contributing to the U.S. economy. The number of employees and annual revenue that qualify a business as small vary by industry and are set by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Designations include Small Business Enterprise, Small Disadvantaged Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zones, Women-Owned Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. To self-attest your business, go to SAM.gov.
“Through our expanded Supplier Development and Diversity program at U.S. Bank, we are focused on helping our small and diverse businesses grow and develop.”
Craig McKenney, Chief Procurement Officer
By doing business with small and diverse suppliers, we're contributing to the growth of companies that in turn help us build the best bank in America.
We’re committed to highlighting small businesses and businesses owned by minorities, women, LGBTQ+ individuals, veterans and people with disabilities through engagement, development, mentorship and contracting opportunities. All employees who purchase goods and services or influence purchasing decisions are responsible for identifying opportunities to engage with diverse suppliers and small businesses.
We value all our partnerships and encourage a shared commitment toward inclusive spending. Our prime suppliers’ commitment to supplier development is what makes our program successful.
Our Tier 2 program offers opportunities for small and diverse suppliers to provide subcontracting services to prime suppliers of U.S. Bank. The program includes reporting, matchmaking opportunities and the inclusion of our Tier 2 suppliers at various events.
U.S. Bank encourages certification for small and diverse suppliers. We've created a certification sponsorship program to help with the financial burden of certification and provide technical expertise throughout the process. We currently partner with national certifying organizations, BIPOC chambers and other state and federal certifying bodies.
If you’re interested in learning more about the program, please reach out to supplier.diversity@usbank.com.
